I have yet to see any of the Disney live actions for the same reason I don't like RDJ as Doom. It feels like such a callous cash grab, devoid of creative value, existing only so a C-suite can buy his 4th yacht.

It remains to be seen how the story will actually play out. They might have a good reason for it, I dunno.

Personally, I don't care what the story excuse is. I know the comics, so I know what they're doing. And I still think this is a cash grab with a creative excuse stuck on top.

Well, the MCU uses elements from 616, but it’s also not 616. e.g. Thanos wasn’t motivated by Lady Death in IW. And that turned out alright.

I guess we will have to agree to disagree about RDJ. (And I wasn't wild about Thanos either, altho not for Lady Death reasons.)
