I do know a reasonable amount about Islam in its multiple variants. Saudi Arabia & the Taliban do not represent all the world's Muslims any more than Christian Nationalists represent all Christians. I understand you are aggrieved as you have suffered persecution however demonisation doesn't help.

I'm sorry for your lived experience & l acknowledge how awful it has been. However we were talking about an English park, with British Muslims rolling out a pat to pray rather than sunbathe & someone wanting to ban them for the sin of praying. Not everything is connected to the worst of human nature

Maybe it's my traumatic reflex, if anything I've met a few refugees with similar cases as mine- we're all very cautious around our people due to past experiences. But as I've said.. worship needs it's locations, i don't think it's appropriate for this to happen in public. The bigot isn't correct--

Muslims in the west, those you experience such as in the video aren't the ones I'm talking about, in fact to make it clear I'd have put myself in front of that piece of shit bigot first BECAUSE im a POC first and an immigrant before im a traumatized queer. But public praying? Not so secular.
