there’s also this bizarre & pervasive belief on the right that leftists revere Fauci, like idolize. & that by criticizing him they’re taking down a sacred cow & exposing leftist hypocrisy. It’s a whole thing, such an article of faith they can glancingly refer to it & everyone nods knowingly.
