I’m going thru chemotherapy right now. This really breaks something inside of me. People don’t get survivors guilt. I had no idea I’d feel guilt for surviving cancer. Anyone else? This breaks my soul. What are we even doing??????

Even if you accept Trump/GQP’s hideous & absurd arguments in favor of mass deportation, there’s no reason for pre-deportation detention: until deportation orders are issued, after due process has been afforded, these individuals shld be with their families & otherwise continue living normal lives.

The only thing worse than this case is that it’s not even the only one to have happened recently. ICE detained a mother of 4 named Arlit Maria Martinez, and while she was in detention her 15 year old son Kevin passed away from cancer: bsky.app/profile/vanh... Just tragedy compounding tragedy.
