I wish they did. Instead, many of them backed the former mayor who ran as an independent. They were more worried about what Mamdani's policies would do to rich Democrats like them than for the rest of the city.

Honey, I live here. Have for my entire life. The party backed the nominee. Some individual dems decided to back Cuomo because they suck.

The news media may have amplified those individual Dems and make them seem more numerous than they were. They do definitely suck though.

I don't know how anybody other than a racist POS can legitimately believe there is something wrong with a mayor choosing to sit in the nosebleed seats rather than courtside. My only "problem" is that I am worried for Mamdani's safety.
