1984 was a banner year for "assless" "bi-curious" "open carry" "phreakers".

1983 gives me: World building Gender transition CD-ROM Sound card Backronym 😊

Now I feel really old; AA battery, coffee-table, line item salsa and red flag are all 1962 words or terms. It is a fun list but I thought those were century old words.

Three of those are much older. "Coffee-table" is from 1877 as a noun. Only use as an adjective (a coffee-table book) was from 1962. Same for "red flag" which is from 1748 to mean a warning sign. It's use as a verb started in 1962. And Salsa was adopted into English in '62, but is not a new word.

2004 has some good ones (that don't all apply to me): FOMO, dreamer, throuple, defriend, chonky, water boarding, guyliner, aromantic, life hack, Debbie Downer
