I agree that what you said is the sentiment among JRPG fans (especially those in the West). Heck, look at E33. It was compared to Final Fantasy (namely 16) with some calling it the "true" FF16. Not Metaphor, Trails, or Persona. FF. I think this goes back to what you said about presentation
