Droneworks

This is great to do, and interesting to read your thoughts. Just picked up 3 UNKLE CDs from a charity shop this morning, so will have a listen later. Not holding out much hope beyond Psyence Fiction, but who knows. New Durutti Column CD on first though.

ooh yeah, I recently picked up Never, Never Land cheap from somewhere (can't quite remember where) and it's... ok? it's far from terrible, but I also can't remember much about it. obviously not a patch on PF, but didn't make me want to investigate any other latter period Unkle either

Don't have Never... but I doubt you're missing out on later UNKLE stuff. Picked up War Stories, and Where Did The Night Fall, which I'm listening to now. Very of it's time. It's pretty decent, and well made, but a bit meh. Terrible and dated artwork too. Hopefully WS will be better?

War Stories is miles better than Where Did The Night Fall, on first listen. There are also instrumental versions on a 2nd disc, which could be good. Again, it's not amazing, but holds up pretty well. PS still the highpoint though.
