I have only just learned this sad news. Lou Koller, the vocalist of the New York hardcore legends Sick of It All, has died. The band announced this today in a statement on social media. The singer succumbed to his severe cancer yesterday. #RipLouKoller 💔🖤

This one hurts. I didn't know Lou but I was lucky enough to both interview him for an alt-weekly and to hang with him and the band at Fletcher's in Baltimore a couple years later. He struck me as genuine and generous.
