Every time I hear about people using AI for tasks like this, it makes me wonder, what is the plan for having a next generation of senior, experienced people?
There’s no great solution, but it doesn’t fully replace a junior associate either. My thought is to send them off to take a stab at these projects on their own (using the tools at hand), then check in with me for a steer and have them take a crack at the eventual analysis.
The "take a stab then check in" loop is honestly the best way to build judgment. Curious how you handle the review part though - do they walk you through their reasoning, or do you mostly just redline the output?
Still early days for these projects but usually I prefer a quick discussion where they can present their findings. Depends on the project though. This doesn’t work as well if it’s a new issue for both of us (unfortunately common in my practice area).
