I appreciate the Mets for failing spectacularly last season so the Reds could sneak into the playoffs and fail spectacularly against the Dodgers in their stead.

I mean they have won multiple world series though, which is infinitely more than my Pads. (And Padre superfan Emma was just shooting a movie here but it's also fitting)

at least you dont have to worry about relegation (the bottom x teams get booted down to the league below and the winners of that league get promoted up)

They've won as many World Series titles as the Miami Marlins, so let's not go overboard praising them. And 1986 was fueled entirely by cocaine, so there was that. (Braves fan here, despise the Mets) 😂

Like the Braves winning 4 between three cities, one of which before Blacks were even allowed to play is much better. Rather a team fuel by cocaine than racism.

Hey, if I was a Mets fan seeing my highest-MLB-payroll team 3rd from the bottom I'd be salty too, and overreact to obvious jokes on the internet. To each their own.

Mets fans have hope, an owner that wants to spend, multiple future hall of famers on the roster... not sure what the Jets have. But that hope makes it all worse.
