This, it feels so weirdly commercialized and trendy this year. It's supposed to be a fun little art community thing... Like why do I feel like I need to have an immaculate profile and art to even be considered now😭

I'm equating it to running up to someone with a drawing of their OC and going: "Here, I made this for you!" Then beaming and going about my way. Kinda like when children give you their artwork. It's amazing, no notes, going straight on the fridge. I'll hold onto it for my life.

Most people i 'attack' are getting lineart or flats, lol.

Artfight needs to be treated as whose line is it anyway where the points don't matter

Artfight is about having fun and appreciating your fellow creatives, so have fun! Fun shouldn't be burnout.

Thankfully I personally haven't seen much of that end of Art Fight, but I'm not surprised. I like doing revenges, but my favorite thing to do is find artists who are just starting out and making OCs and draw those. There's something about Baby's First OC™️that is SUPER artistically inspiring to me!

Genuinely, it's a good excuse to mess around with different techniques you have wanted to try for a while!

Just look for characters that interest you, draw them for fun, and think nothing more of it.
