So Greg Bovino of bad nazi cosplay fame is going to be IN MY CITY this Saturday (Aug 1st) for a Mass Deportation Rally. There's a Hoosier Hospitality March to counter it from 3-6pm where we march to Al Huda mosque to donate to their food pantry, and then a vigil for those DHS/ICE has killed- 1/3

When I was a kid, Dad showed me Army of Darkness. Very silly good fun, exactly my kind of movie at the time. He told me (reasonably) that I wasn't allowed to watch Evil Dead until I was older. Well today on a lark I decided to finally watch 1 & 2 and the tonal whiplash is about to break my neck.

It WOULD explain his mental break in the middle of 2.

It's insane how APPARENTLY AoD was something Raimi had been wanting to do for awhile, considering how graphically tame it is? ('Graphically' because it IS still iconically batshit.) Like, after 1&2 he's like "my vision is to make a film that is totally reasonable to allow a 12 year old to watch."
