I agree with Emily Wilson's take on The Odyssey. It's a wildly mediocre film. She's an expert and has every right to share her reaction. In her review, however, she seems to relish in her hatred of the movie. I don't think any artist should enjoy panning another's work. Art is hard enough as it is.
