Seems like genuinely progressive people/groups are divided on these. The @nywfp.bsky.social, which is one of my guides in such things, has NOT made recommendations for these proposals. Neither have Mandani's people, as far as I can tell. So it's tricky!

The NY WFP's seemingly conscious decision to not weigh in on this feels a bit cowardly to me. You can't work to become a major party in the state and then be quiet on the sausage making of ballot proposals. And Mamdani's silence also irks me.

It was the one moment at the second debate where Zohran really flubbed it.

FWIW it sounds like he’s in a tricky position on those, because he needs the support of a broad coalition that includes both the City Council who are against the proposals AND a number of entities who are for them. So if he says anything either way, he’ll piss off someone he needs on his side.
