Now I'm less Angry on the Internet I do think that part of what's happening is that people are not actually used to a healthy political culture wherein you do a pilot scheme to see if something works and discuss its comparative merits. They're used to excuses for inaction and bad faith quibbling.
lastpositivistBut a rabidly anti-intellectual culture wherein asking about whether a proposed means is the best way to achieve social ends is... well it would destroy socialism, utterly. In fact I think the failure of previous socialist states are not unrelated to developing this exact culture.
