And I mean Poseidon is mad at him, or at least his men BELIEVE this, but as Mx19 rightly points out you can read this movie as if the gods exist but also as if they don’t. Might just be really bad weather (and terrible boats. OMG the boats are so bad. But historically the boats were in fact bad)
