My wife is a shareholder Screw the other teams The Green Bay Packers are special and unique

It’s a big part of why I, a lifelong Illinoisan, have remained a diehard Packers fan for almost fifty years.

Good deal.

👍

Bears are 2 in a row and 3 out of 4. Think the tables are turning.

And you think the Bears winning some games mean the Packers will abandon their ownership structure? The one that has repeatedly saved them from losing their team? That’s one of the most unserious reasons to change the operating structure I’ve ever heard.

No, not really. I'm a Chicago boy but have lived in DFW TX for the last 30 years. I hate the Packers, but I respect the Packers. One of the best run teams in the league. But still a Bears fan. Lately I feel like a corpse waking up in the morgue.

The team’s ownership structure has *nothing* to do with how competitive the division is, much less results that go back a whole 4 games.

Well Jennifer, you know as well as I do that the Bears Packers rivalry goes back 80 or more years. You guys work on your organizational malaise. We’re working on our stadium and trying to see if we can do it again. Just joshin ya man - relax.

lol always funny when a random dude tells me to relax because his comment wasn’t what he thought it was

Ok

Didn't want it renamed to Kalshi/Draftkings/Palantir/Tesla/Blackrock field? crazy

I am a shareholder

Not even under Fascism!! We will stand strong!!

Go Pack Go!

This only proves that the shareholders don't like money.

Last week, I was listening to Pro Football Talk and they mentioned selling the team out right to an actual owner as a possible option if money to operate the team becomes difficult. The last thing The Packers need is a Jerry Jones or David Tepper-Type Owner making a mess of things.

For now their finances are in great shape?

Dontcha know you need an indoor stadium closer to where the people are? (ps: as a visiting team fan, the best experience for a visitor out there is Lambeau, so thank you, and keep being different.)

Well OK, I didn't know that, but now I am officially a Packers fan... Fuck yeah!! Fuck "Naming Rights", that has pissed me off big-time for the last oh fifty years?

At some point it will become a requirement for the Packers to change their ownership structure. Competitively, the cumulative effects of cash availability (or in GB’s case, less availability) will result in a competitive disadvantage. But not sure they’re at that point. Yet.

I’m a shareholder. It will always be Lambeau

If the Packers traditions and processes go away, I then know the world is going to end. In WI the Packers are a huge part of our soul. If that is ever sold out for cash, we lose everything good about us.

I’m no Packers fan but I respect the hell out of how they’re run. 👏🏼

Green Bay does it right. It's the other cities not having any proprietary stake in their sports teams that is the perversion.

This is why the NFL banned public ownership of teams.
