I dont read anymore because I made myself stupid after college, but this is true of what I do consume (competition reality TV). Pre-social media Survivor is *miles* better than post. It's not twists or 39/26 days, it's players being aware of how they will be talked about Reddit or Twitter
laurenkind of a half-baked thought here but it's a shame criticism as a paid professional discipline has been sidelined by social media because it could point the way forward out of the internet madness-induced problem of writing that's crouched in what the author anticipates a comments section will say
