Right sorry i was wrong seem he really still is using it heavily, wild considering all the interviews he did with people who are openly anti ai and even discussing it with em. Never liked him but do like a lot of the people he spoke with.

I don't think Hank does the scripts for SciShow anymore, but a few people accused them of generating parts of the Knitting video script. At the least, it had many sloppy inaccuracies, had an undertone of misogynistic bias, and was bland. So there is certainly a pattern of this on the show.

From what I’ve seen, the only AI-critical argument he’s heard is from the Yudkowskian “AI is gonna destroy us all” camp. So from either side the assumption is that AI is going to be big and important, and not just a massive waste of money and resources for a mediocre lying machine.

Yes but this is a slightly different thing they're talking about. There's essentially a cult that believes AI will ascend into godhood and replace us and they want that to happen and accelerate that. AI companies are obviously feeding into this psychosis as you've alluded to but it's not just them.
