it's like when you're in a meeting and a dude restates what you've just said and everybody claps for him whereas you get a warning to not be so confrontational afterwards
I did literally get told this after gently asking whether said dude had obtained font licenses for the fonts we were using for our logo (he didn't know what that was). had a sit down where I was chastised for embarrassing him and told I should be nicer
Gotta love the coddling of men. It was more important to protect his fee-fees from a perceived slight than it was to foster the sense of your input being valued.
