Look at the Trump admin, they’re constantly talking about “civilization collapse” as a threat for their base. They just mean white straight people having to share space with other groups, I don’t think they’re worried about the strength of the AMOC.

Good guess - but they asked those who anticipate collapse why, and "Climate change and overconsumption" was the plurality response in all five - neck-and-neck with "a gradual degradation of conditions"! "Uncontrolled migration", "civil war/tensions" and "extremist attacks" combined had less support!
US-specific results. Unfortunately, they don't seem to specify how many of each party anticipate a collapse in the first place so "16% of Trump supporters who expect a collapse believe it'll be due to climate change" is probably a single-digit fraction of voters, but it remains a remarkable finding.
