Water is life. We are running out of it. The privatised water companies have never had an incentive to do anything about this. In fact, the scarcer water is, the higher the prices they can charge. Not fixing leaks, not investing in capture and retention, etc is good business for them.
JWexTheSpaWe are at a point at which emergency legislation forcing water companies to do exactly as instructed by government - leak targets, water capture and retention targets, water cleanliness targets, reservoir construction targets, etc - is not only justified but absolutely necessary.
