Mervyn Peake (1911-1968), Charles Addams (1912-1988) & Edward Gorey (1925-2000) seem like kindred spirits, or at least each might have appreciated the others' work. A lot of overlap in their lifetimes. I wonder if they interacted or commented on each other.
