I was recently trying to find the name of a person who gave a lecture I saw in 2003. I remembered the topic of the lecture and the venue, but not the person‘s name. I tried googling first and couldn’t find any record of the lecture. I tried putting the info into Gemini and it found it immediately.

I‘m extremely ambivalent about AI but it feels perverse not to try using it in cases like this.

AI is also great for finding books you vaguely remember from decades ago using only a few ambiguous clues

Have done with this with several books Haven't looked up any speakers yet, but I'm also very much *not* an aural learner so most presentations I see are soon forgotten 👴🏼
