CENTCOM: “At 5:45 pm ET Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps forces launched multiple ballistic missiles from Iran in an attempted surprise attack on US forces based in the Middle East. All Iranian missiles were successfully intercepted. US forces remain vigilant and at a high state of readiness.”
I am not sure there are any reliable, trustworthy sources of information when it comes to this war.
For all our modern technology… very little truth seems to seep out. Perplexing and fascinating.
This just illustrates the stupidity of the Trump administration. They keep negotiating with Iranians completely ignoring that there’s two factions. The politicians can’t control the IRGC who do exactly what they want.
Absolutely! It's interesting how our colonizing governments are dealing with peaceful protests against this violence. At least you guys haven't started building concentration camps (that I know of).
Iran’s Tasnim News dismisses CENTCOM’s claim that all Iranian missiles were intercepted, saying it’s a “repeated false narrative”.
Previous US interception statements were later contradicted by satellite imagery and reported military casualties, Tasnim says.
Virtually every day you bleat on about the climate crisis, yet here you are wringing your digital paws about WTI prices. History shows clearly the best thing for climate, short of global pandemic, are high petrol prices. So then which is it, old boy?
Of course it is. But that’s not the point of his post. People who opine endlessly across horizons of things they cannot hope to fully comprehend deserve some accountability. This old bloke prattles on about how “everything is connected.” Indeed, maybe do a better job understanding that fact.
Is that right? Please then enlighten me with your mystical powers of divination. Explain to me what precisely what I’ve missed then? Be specific please.
Um, it's also two can play the game of 'my signature means nothing'.
I can imagine the Iranians believing little attacks and negotiations in sequence can wear down an enemy.
"Surprise attack"? We've been at war for months now. Also, real bold of the US to start getting holier than thou about surprise attacks, considering this started with a surprise decapitation strike mid-negotiations. Didn't even bother to declare war, just killed the head of state and his family.
A slight caveat to that and potential the govt playing fast and loose. Intercepted does not mean destroyed, destroyed does not mean safe. "We banged a bunch of tungsten into all the missiles" is great wink-wink cover for "debris including UXO fell right on us and blew shit up on the way down"
