month late, but I’m really happy to find this thread by Mallorie that’s a generous counter-response to the latest video essay by @slimemildred.bsky.social. (Boomers DO get an “adjusted adult” pass regardless of their attitudes toward media!) Folks willing to “find merit” in kids’ stuff feels (1/2)
Mallorie Malcontent ✨I kind of feel bad they feel this way about themself. I think the mythical adult millennials wish they were , never really existed. And as funny as it sounds, I think it takes a pretty emotionally mature person to see the philosophical merit to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
