It's worth noting that business owners are not experts when it comes to traffic and parking patterns. Most of the time they are just looking to get through another month. Businesses and vendors at Pike Place were terrified business would dry up with pedestrianization, only to have sales increase

I remember being so baffled by the stated opposition to the corrals. This business owner even said she supports daylighting the crosswalks but opposes the corrals... Because she needs her delivery vehicles to park there right up at the stop signs. 🤦‍♂️ bsky.app/profile/type...

Friend Museum in Pioneer Square didn't respond to my direct question about opposing the intersection daylighting/ bike corral plan, but one of their co-owners posted this today on Instagram. "It feels like in panders to an event that will come and go and also to the sports crowd"

Lisa Howard in her quotes you published here, similarly took the near-Orwellian stance of purporting to support daylighting while opposing the very means of accomplishing it. Argh!!
