Anybody arguing that Sophie is the gateway to WNBA fandom is beyond unserious. That's like saying Dean Wade is gonna bring in a new NBA audience. The "audience" here is people who want a culture war prop. So, why should the W care, when they're telegraphing that they won't consume the product?
