Again, yes: Hegseth’s racist and sexist military is Trump’s racist and sexist military. A difference does exist, though, between military and civilian leadership…which is why we are seeing the leaks. What is important here is: Hegseth had to find this guy and make an investigation go poof.

How do we know that? The amount of leaking in June 2025 before we went to war prompted Hegseth to ban the journalists from the Pentagon? People are leaking like a sieve, if they can. The contempt is clear.

Congress has issued its first letter of concern, but Hegseth’s firing spree has yet to break through any way. In terms of the leaking, my feed from couple of months ago (when the Strait of Hormuz) went through a series of leaks in June 2025 in the defense news press.

There have been a few but not many. Very disappointing. And unfortunately it’s easy to ’gag’ them until their half-life of retirement is over which will be into the next administration. Fourth Fleet Commander retired quickly and quietly just before they started shooting ‘drug’ boats.

They are not going to do it publicly, but someone is leaking to the Times on Hegseth’s refusal to promote women and officers of color; that stuff is usually kept pretty quiet. People are shouting if you can hear it.

It's ingrained in every service member to avoid being openly political. That's why we have civilian control of the Armed Forces; the Founders wanted to avoid having a standing army that a wannabee dictator could use as a tool to achieve their goals.

You know needs to speak up on this: Congress. Hegseth is ignoring the rules for a merit-based process outlined by Congress. Hegseth should be impeached for that reason.

I get your point, but you know what, I am not asking people in a chain of command to speak out, when this at the end of the day, is a political problem. No deference should be given to the political leadership of DOD that is failing in every sense, and yet, Congress is doing so.
