Having been a college DJ, I get the pressures on radio stations and factors that led to such a move. But chasing after the streaming service model seems a dead end too. Probably not helping is how bad and cliche classic rock radio programming is. Few/no deep cuts, old concerts, etc. I grew up with.

I spent 23 years in radio. This is very sad to see, but it's been happening for at least 15 years now., although not on this scale. Best of luck to you all. 👍😔

(cont'd) Granted I'm a rock music geek & not the typical listener, but classic rock radio programming has turned me off of Queen & Skynyrd & made me averse to a cherished album from my youth: Led Zep IV. To quote a DJ from my teens when he got Stairway requests: "Don't you own that album already?"
