I heard this, and then I opened the app to book an appointment and they're closed all weekend within an hour's drive.

Hopefully that means the numbers will be coming back up! I also tried to donate but apparently my iron just below what is allowed to donate. I was still given heaps of snacks for coming in, which was nice.

is there some reason for this? Has demand gone up?

It seems like fewer people are regularly donating. They didn't speculate on the reasons but my guess could be it's connected to summer schedules and people being busy. It's a good reminder though — I've booked my appointment for later today
