Magma is one of the OG New Mutants, but everyone forgets about her. Reasonably she should be like the fire equivalent of Ice Man, but she is so overlooked that when her home was threatened in an official web-comic she wasn't involved in the story for 90% of it. SHE DESERVES MORE!!!

Can you tell what I read? I feel like these characters had a lot of good use during their main eras but have since been squandered somewhat. Would love to see more of them.
For DC, I want to hit two problems as well.
Raven is the pick. DC just needs to raise the profile of more female characters. They also need to refine their world of magic and how it interacts with superheroes.
Let's make that a central conflict - and explore.
I'll pretend I haven't been thinking about this for years. For Marvel, it's the Trapster.
No anti-hero, no hero. Let's watch the true rise of an aspiring villain. He has connections to so much of marvel for being an OG villain. But he's had a few moments and a lot of humiliations....
So as we watch him obliterate the Paste Pot Pete callback, then start trapping and scaring some of the big players in Marvel we'll see him getting pissed and becoming a threat. Plus we don't often just get a villain book.
I want to go for obscure 80s indy characters, but let's go with dc/marvel instead:

I think you could do fantastic things with a Warpath solo, because he’s got a great, built-in supporting cast, and he’s SO HOT.

From DC: Honestly, I think Bunker has a lot of potential, and it's criminal that he's been shelved since New 52 ended.
I could have read way more of @chrisyost.bsky.social and @ryanstegman.bsky.social 's Scarlet Spider with Kaine. That was my introduction to the character and it rocked.
