Brilliant 🤩

What excellent English! I bet no more than a dozen English people at the time could speak French that well.

Haha. Totally perplexed.

Brilliant, my home town!

For a moment there I thought you were writing about Pierre Henry. Mind you, it's a fascinating film.

Merci!

Terrific. I can remember it well.

Coincidentally I was born in Southend in1961. The seafront continued to attract visitors in numbers for quite a while…and retained a penchant for ‘Kiss Me Quick’ hats!

I wonder what Le Touquet was like then?

I am sure the oysters were great back then, plus other seafoody bits. Can't deny it though. A seafood bisque followed by a massive bowl of moules frites & bottle of dry white over at Le Touquet does tend to surpass the deep-fried stuff in lovely Southend..sorry

The food is slightly better, but still often " execrable".
