Fair enough, although I wouldn’t be *too* humble seeing as it appears you’re a history scholar with over 15K followers! It’s hard to keep track of what we’re even talking about if there’s this endless escalating spiral of hyperbole.

And like…she did attack the film! It’s hard to characterize her review as anything else given what she said and how she said it. That doesn’t mean she had no right to say what she said, or that she deserves abuse, or anything like that. But let’s at least call a spade a spade.

And, conversely, I didn't particularly like the film, and while I had no particular attachment to the source material, I had most of the same problems she had with it. Interesting!

What an absolutely mad statement An Ancient Greek literary scholar doesn’t have any expertise in films whatsoever It’s a very entertaining review which is in it’s own way just mad because she seems to not understand the premise of “a film”
