When you talk to someone, take the live foreigner over the bot. Recently I called FedEx customer support (on a Saturday) about a delivery I was tracking. The bot said there was no tracking #. I asked to speak to a live agent. After a 30 minute confab she said there were no live agents on weekends.

So, once I called my parish office to inquire about something or another, and the muzak while on hold sang Wasted away again in Margaritaville. Still laughing some thirty years later. 😀

Congratulations. When I'm on hold, I usually get disconnected after 10 minutes of waiting.

You are so lucky. I'm never important. They tell me "we are dealing with other customers, we'll get to you when we feel like it"

You better stay on that line then. It would hurt their feelings if you dropped off.
