Or, overdoes the vocal tricks - complicated runs, trills, whistle notes etc. My Mariah era was the early 90s when I could understand the lyrics & sing the melody. When it comes to pop - I want to sing along. Big notes, fine, but I want the meaning & the catchy hook. #music
