Oh yeah, Mom was pretty good about pushing back on us doing obviously risky work but Dad was…not. And we were teenagers—I got my "I'm indestructible!" nonsense out doing things that weren't even really fun, just work. Lucky to make it out with repeated heat injury & occupational asthma.
