This reminds me of Winston Churchill’s reported description of “the finest traditions of the British Navy,” which Churchill summarized crudely as “rum, sodomy & the lash.” Republicans are the party of rum, sodomy & the lash, but only for men & only in private on Harlan Crow’s yacht.
