oh damn they inventin the breastalyzer (like breathalyzer, but it catches a different hazard.)

This is awesome! As a 12 year breast cancer survivor who gets annual mammograms and then ultrasounds if anything looks suspicious, I would prefer an annual breath test.

This is fabulous news!

My nephew worked on this project as a summer intern. Such exciting and useful work. Science for the win!

Three Cheers 🎉🎉🎉 to Breathe BioMedical from every woman who has had a mammogram. 🎉🎉🎉🎉

holy shit, does this mean no more smashing our tits in the giant white waffle maker machine?

Men get breast cancer, too. I'm thinking maybe this was invented for them. They must just do ultrasounds for men. 🤷‍♀️

I’m certain that women everywhere would much prefer a breath exam over a breast exam any day of the week. I know my wife would. Way to go! Science for the win.

Haha yes, considering I just went through multiple mammograms and a biopsy.

I hate mammograms, I am one of the few people that find it extremely painful to get them done, I am in tears they hurt that much. I do not look forward to it at all. I am tough in a lot of ways, I'd rather go through childbirth again lol

I’ve thought for some time now that men with engineering degrees likely designed the mammogram machine because it’s the most efficient way of getting images. No concern whatsoever would have emerged from that cohort on how extremely painful they are to women. It’s just about the images and low cost.

there needs to be a better way, for some of us it would be definitely be easier

Smashing your boob flat as a pancake hurts like a MF. I can't understand how some women don't find it excruciating.

I have to psych myself up before I get it done, it is so painful, usually up to 3 days afterwards as well, it is excruciating 😣

I had a second session to complete a large back tattoo the day before my last mammogram. I was in the tattoo chair for 2.5 hours and it was still a better experience than getting the mammogram.

I am avoiding going to the dr about possible signs of breast cancer bc I do not want another mammogram. Like you, the pain was so bad. I’d rather give birth to a 9lb 4oz baby again!

If this becomes a new standard because it works so well, it will be a real game changer.

I would prefer this for my next appointment.

Science!!!

This is awesome!

Holy cow. Go, Canadian scientists!

Sign me up!

Life changing

Great news for everyone especially those (like me) who had breast cancer twice and have dense breasts!

That's amazing! I'm so thankful for these scientists and researchers that keep making these discoveries!

WOW this is huge news! 👍🇨🇦

I'll quote my grandmother on this. "No more crushed ditters!"

That's amazing!! Make it available ASAP!!!

Dogs work too

And yet another great Canadian 🇨🇦breakthrough in the fight against Cancer 👏👏💯🇨🇦

To not have to have your breasts flattened like a pancake and/or to not have some stranger manipulate them like silly putty as well. This is huge!! I would like to thank every person that had anything to do with this technology!! Can't wait to see this implemented across the country!!

🙌👏🥂

I’d take this over the awful annual boob squeezing any day.
