5/ I won't hold my breath for Trump to carry out the actions the people of the United States overwhelmingly support. The *hite House has previously hidden behind "it will hurt peace negotiations to enact them now." Right on cue they can roll out this excuse again today.

7/ Will this latest 'initiative' bring peace closer? It seems unlikely, especially after Putin set his budget for continuing war for the next 3 years & already recruiting people to manage conscription in Russia in the autumn But Putin will do his usual 'delay dance' with Trump.
