As a medieval lit nerd, one of my favorite historical facts about 2001's A Knight's Tale is that it's entirely plausible that Geoffrey Chaucer could have traveled with the group, as there's a solid year of the writer's life that we still can't fully account for that likely saw him on a pilgrimage.
