No I'm serious, you think this is someone being mad at you but, like, you know you need that skill to operate in the world right? Why do you feel told off and attacked by this?
Lots of assumptions going on here. I don't feel attacked, but you seem very unhappy with me pointing that maybe someone living in kyiv might affect where their political priorities might lie.
Of course you are serious. This is bluesky, we cannot have anything else. Lol
No, you misunderstand. I am perfectly capable of understanding that someone in Kyiv probably has different sets of considerations than people doing urban design talk outside of active warzones. I'm saying: what makes anyone think we should have considered that in the first place?
Look. You're saying him being in kyiv with drone strikes does not matter to what he might post about cars. I am saying it might. I think your example is humorous, but you and I both know that it is not the same thing.
No, I'm not saying that. This is why I think you're illiterate. I actually don't think you've read more than 20% of the words I've written, you've just been mostly making it up.
You think this because of faceless interaction on the internet? That is a pretty extreme thing to jump to. I get you like insulting people because you feel defensive in these exchanges, but it isn't necessary.
Also, unfortunately, I do read what you say. You are missing my point. I am saying that there is nothing wrong with pointing out where the guy lives and that yeah, it is relevant to what he posted about cars
Well, I am sorry you feel this way. Looks like I can't convince you otherwise, so I will drop out of my phd now. Truce on calling it mutual miscommunication? (because you did not really take my point into account, but shh, that's on the downlow)
Easy answer. You should have checked that before making some response that op doesn't know about public transportation, etc. I pointed out where he lives. You don't really care about that. And that's fine. Different people, different views, so on.
Come on man, you should know I did not literally mean that. Something something literacy. I know you did not say that. You are jumping to things because you feel like you can gotcha me, but yes, at the end of the day, he finds a car convenient.
Ok. So perhaps I could have said "are you aware that when people say we should reduce car dependency in cities like Phoenix Arizona they are not saying 'we should take every Ukrainian's truck off them at gunpoint'?" Would that have been localised enough?
So why even bother responding to op like you did if you knew he lived in Ukraine? As far as I knew, you replied like you did not consider that, so I pointed it out. That's all.
I didn't consider it. Because, ok, follow through here: why, if you lived in Kyiv, would you possibly think that *any* of the anti car stuff was aimed at you? What about it would make you think that? Why would you come to act like that?
Because op wanted to chime in with his thoughts?
I mean, you can make the argument that Kyiv is not immune to urban design and public transportation needs because war. I agree, and I am sure that op knows. But there is still context to his answer, which he can give. You might not agree, but
Look at the post you first replied to. Look at the message of it, the question, the challenge to people chiming in with "well why haven't you considered this environmental factor??" Do you think changing the city matters to it? Do you think it changes the meaning?
