Unrelated thought: I struggle with some zoomer slang but they really cooked with “chopped.” I’ve started working it into my everyday vernacular and let me tell you it rolls off the tongue

being a christopher nolan stan is so sick, i get to say “everybody doubted him they said he’s washed they said he’s chopped” whenever he makes a new film even tho he’s like the biggest director of the millennium. its like cheering for passive income. this must be what it’s like to be a dodgers fan

As a 74yo, I'm still trying to figure out if "cringe" is the new "lame". Or is "chopped" the new "cringe"?

I had to look it up and was told that it means physically ugly, but that makes no sense in the context of the Nolan post, so I still don't get it.

My understanding of “selling” is when you are bad at something you are trying to be good at, or should be able to be good at. “Man, I’m really selling” as you die for the 67th time in Mario kart or whatever.
