Just under two hours left to vote Green. A Greater Manchester for people and planet, not big money and developers. Vote Geraldine Coggins first preference.

Happy to report that that's exactly what I did. 🤞

People have got to wake up and realise Labour are bringing great harm to our country. Only the Greens can save us. On every major issue Labour are sitting in the fence. Andy Burnham has already been caught lying and gaslighting and his little election bribes fool nobody.

Yeah..all those pesky workers rights and protections..boo

Ответ для Travellersuzy

Unemployment has grown substantially under Labour with Youth unemployment for the first time in decades worse than the eurozone. Many of these new ‘workers rights’ are deterring employers taking in extra staff or expanding due to increased costs they are driving. We need a better plan. Vote Green!

Ответ для Mia Cheviot

Sorry. Not under Polanski.

Ответ для Travellersuzy

I like him. He can make my titties grow anytime!

Ответ для Mia Cheviot

UK unemployment is higher than some in the EU but not higher than many. An issue across the West and not because of labour politics 🙄

The Greens are a ludicrous protest vote and nothing more

... and if you can stomach it vote Labour second to keep fascist reform out. Hoping the greens do very well to make Labour actually try to be slightly left wing.

Ответ для garrdthennson

I think they're limiting themselves to undoing some things Starmer brought in.. nothing that actually fixes any systemic problems.

Ответ для garrdthennson

Fascist Reform are no worse, and on some issues slightly better than Fascist Labour.

Ответ для Daniel

I think Manchester LGBT population would notice a nasty difference with a reform in power. I suspect Muslim communities also would.

Ответ для garrdthennson

Have you asked them? Because right now under Labour trans people are being vilified, denied health care, seeing huge rises in youth suicide/attempts. Labour's courtship of the Far Right voters has left Muslims, and other groups, vulnerable and at risk.

Ответ для Daniel

I think life would be far worse under Reform than Labour. We only need to look to councils where they have trampled on small, grass roots pride and deliberately reduced LGBT visibility in places outside large cities. This is not glowing praise of Labour but it does show how extreme reform are.

Ответ для garrdthennson

labour have effectively banned trans women from all gendered spaces. they are already going after the disabled, and are revving up the propaganda machine to go after the rest of the LGBT. they are worse than reform. at least we know reform are incompetent as well as bigots

Ответ для garrdthennson

It'll be worse for cis het white British people. It will be no worse for anyone else. Labour are further right than Reform.

Ответ для Daniel

I could not disagree more with your final statement. Labour are very broken and lost party but nothing like reform vitriolic horror. Maybe other people would like to comment on the comparison?

Ответ для garrdthennson

I agree with Daniel

Ответ для garrdthennson

I asked earlier had you asked any of the groups you confidently spoke on behalf of. The answer to that is abundantly clear.

Ответ для Daniel

I feel you are asking for something which could be impossible to do inside the scope of this conversation for either of us. [Also people ... Lets keep the tone civil. I've had to block one person already for low quality, hostile posting. X this is not]

Ответ для garrdthennson

I'm not bothered if you block me, but I'm not going to act like it's reasonable to push millions of people under the bus to protect my comfort. We aren't trying to solve the issues. We challenging your assertion yay Labour aren't far right cunts.

Ответ для garrdthennson

labour are *significantly* more to the right than reform on settlement and their current plans will cause anywhere from 250k to 500k+ to have to simply leave the uk. but i could compare their policies at great length, the real question is would you actually say "oh ok fair enough" to any of it?

Chris Boyd

reform plans to replace ILR with rolling visas. under those plans you can apply for citizenship at 7 years. if you're not a spouse of a British citizen, it's a 6 year wait to apply. "Pay to extend 2 years" isn't great, but significantly better than the below *minimum* cost from labour's plans

Ответ для Chris Boyd

I think if we widen out the scope beyond the Trans, Gaza and migration issues. I still think there is some measurable difference between Reform and Labour especially at more local level where reform fund such silliness as Temu flag time tots while cutting LGBT funding.

Ответ для garrdthennson

sorry, but "if we ignore that (depending on if they exempt careworkers from settlement plans) up to half or 3 quarters of a million in worst case scenario will be remigrated, then reform are still measurably worse" is an absolutely baffling thing to say

Ответ для garrdthennson

You're widening the scope to cis het white British people. We've established that earlier. And you're not even widening the scope. You're saying "fuck those guys, they'll suffer regardless. It's me you should be worried about"

Ответ для garrdthennson

If we ignore where they are being outright fascist, they're not really fascist?

Ответ для garrdthennson

I agree wholeheartedly with it. I notice you provide no counter examples

I am not going to name specific people but for instance I know outside of Manchester labour. Salford in particular there is still some left wing Labour councillors. I am amazed some are still in position thought between losses reform and Starmerisation of the party.

Ответ для garrdthennson

Labour are significantly to the right of where Reform and the Tories WERE. This has given them the license to go further right, and yet still Labour keeps trying to outflank them even further to the right. If we had Reform doing horrible things and Labour opposing them, it would be less bad.

Ответ для Purple Electric

Honestly, Labour are rubbish but they are in power in Manchester already and are not pulling down pride flags as reform are. I think perhaps we could keep this into the context of Greater Manchester and typical reform versus Labours actions at local level!

Ответ для garrdthennson

Pulling down flags Vs denying healthcare, driving up suicide rates, stripping dignity and basic human rights. Listen to yourself ffs.

Ответ для Daniel

I'm a trans person living in Manchester. I despise Labour, but the confidence that aggressive bigots get whenever Reform does well is actively terrifying. Saying Labour is as bad as the Tories is fair, but Reform stirs hatred like no other entity in the UK, and presents a unique threat to us

Ответ для Sophie Stevens 💚🍉

I get that locally the public supporters of each will act differently when emboldened by their party & can't imagine that fear. As a party, my opinion remains yay Labour are more right than Reform based on what they have done & continue to do to many groups.

Ответ для Daniel

You have a Trans person and myself and gay man TELLING you reform is worse than Labour for us. I think you should probably apply your own philosophy here.

Ответ для garrdthennson

Yeah, it appears the question changes when he doesn't like the answer Ultimately Bev winning will have negligible if any effect on LGBT rights but giving a massive platform to a bigot like Sian Astley would be license for all to broadcast anti-trans hatred for the next 18 months

Good luck

Funny. Most of you sound like Corbynists. No wonder Caroline Lucas ran for the hills.

What's the social homes policy when you mention developers. Is it back to LA with direct funding? If so, from where?
