I don't find the unnamed sources making these causal assertions particularly credible. Are they trying to find a comfy off ramp for Her? I don't know. In any case, she did what she did. It was totally inappropriate behavior and trying to skate by it saying she was trying to be funny is insulting.

I followed the MN flag change process with interest. The submissions were fun and impressive. The refinement work by the committee was solid. I love the result. Bonus: can't be flown upside down/distress. 😎

I grew up in Oregon where they have made *multiple* runs at adopting a new design (you can read the tale of woe on Wikipedia). In a 2009 public vote, NONE won. So Oregon still has a funky old flag--the only state w/a TWO-SIDED flag. Expensive to make, so you usually see a cheapo one-sided version.

Reading through the indictment and woo boy. It seems pretty weak. I mean one of the big blockades lasted less than 10 minutes and the protestors cleaned up their own stuff. 🤷
