Stuff like this makes me wanna become a video essayist for reals this time, so I can research this topic and create a video titled "GenAI coding is a disaster in the making". That being said I'm accepting submissions of examples of AI slop code.
Freya Holmérpart of why I don't like AI is bc it's so often the antithesis of caring for the little things, the appreciation of the mundane, of seeing beauty where others haven't yet been able to, and seeking genuine fundamental understanding all in the name of "get product faster" I find it so disheartening

I tried using LLMs for coding, every time a more in-depth online search or asking people for help had better results. Sometimes I wish I had some "synonym search" tool on hand, since I sometimes forget the exact name of things, or are named weirdly in documentations.
