It’s fun as hell that two experts in their fields (film and Ancient Greek texts) are having a public conversation about The Odyssey. Nolan made a big adventure movie and Wilson is going “hmmm, I’m not sure about THAT depiction but I liked the fight scene.” That rules.

A woman (60s?) radiating bubbly joy hugs another woman (70s?). With a wide grin she says: "Ya got enough goin' on hun. Stop watching the news. Stay in a bubble for a while eh. It'll do you good. Take care of yourself." Her friend gives her a big hug back. (5)

I’d argue that John Wick is the exception, but that he is the only man who could have made the line about how the son killed Wick’s dog work. Read it out loud, the scene is almost comical. That should be a joke. And yet…!

I find myself looking forward to having no new Trek or Doctor Who just so there are two franchises I have to stay on top of. Oh and I watched the first season of Disney Daredevil, which I have to...

And while I love the shows I love on streamers like @dropout.tv , I kind of miss the fallow season when it felt like I wasn't beholden to watch Every Monday Forever Until The End of Time! There will ALWAYS be and there will ALWAYS be and there will ALWAYS be... and it's so fucking EXHAUSTING!

Gods TV is starting to feel like homework! The new Strange New Worlds dropped just in time for XMen 97 which came just after I finished the latest Vox Macina and oh, I've been meaning to watch Reacher and then... don't forget Spider Noir! GAH! I don't feel like there's time to catch up!

Not just that but the number of films available is down somehow? My local cineplex has fourteen screens and it's showing The Odyssey, Toy Story 5, Minions & Monsters, Hadestown, Moana and Bad Counselors. Just... huh?!

I have to imagine it would be something akin to Galaxy Quest or Avenue Q, something that acknowledges everything we love about the original while completely taking the piss.
