It would work for corporate use, but yeah it would do approximately fuck all for individuals.

And there’s already highly functional open weight models that they can never get rid of, so the only way they have to make any real lock in is via legislation, which they haven’t been very successful at, and also a lot of people hate them and wouldn’t want them to have it.

It the first time I ever encountered it. I’ve seen the option to stream from another install, or to remote install, but the demo just says “download” and when I tap it it starts up on the desktop. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Sorry I got distracted. So when I tried it again it just … installed it on my desktop and then tried to stream it from there. I had no option to install it on the deck itself. It *looked* like that’s what it was going to do, but as soon as I hit install it started installing it on my desktop.

I think some of the things that are Crap now would’ve been high end luxury items 40 years ago. Low end beater cars today would have been luxury flagships 40 years ago.

Preferably, they want you to give them everything for free, and keep updating it forever, at no additional cost.

People say they want it but they are liars who don’t back up their statements with actions. They say they want to pay more for higher quality stuff and then they don’t actually do it when given the chance. People want to spend as little as possible.
