Heading up to mountains tomorrow to continue working a case. Altitude 8-9,000 ft - girl’s gonna need to buy oxygen while up there. Last trip, I felt Bad at that elevation, no can do again. At least we’ll escape the heat for a few days. Probably gonna visit Drive By Pie 🤣 🥧

Been thinking about this small porcelain owl for months, sad that maybe I’d lost it forever (years ago, Native American woman at reservation told me she’d just been diagnosed w/ cancer, gave me this owl, asked me to remember her). Today my husband found it! I almost cried, so happy it’s found.

Silicon Valley, 1989, I interviewed at Oracle (Larry Ellison was CEO). Interviewer picked up my large sample manual: “How long to write this?” Me: “Three months, worked with engineers from inception to product.” Interviewer: “We write a manual a week. Can you do that?" Larry Ellison’s Oracle. Ugh.

Heard from son (in France) today. They have smoky skies & falling ash but fortunately fires are ~3 hours away. He said nearby medieval castles & abbeys, made of stone, are charred, but otherwise unaffected. (Now I can’t stop thinking of medieval castles 🏰) Daughter-in-law & grandsons ❤️ #Family
